The 9th Annual AFD / EUDN Conference on the topic "Evaluation and its discontents: do we learn from experience in development?”was held in Paris on the 26th of March 2012 (program - registration)
Speakers who participated include James Mirrlees (Cambridge, Hong-Kong), Paul Gertler (Berkeley), Jean-Philippe Naudet (AFD), Miguel Szekely (Ministry of Social Development, Mexico), Jodi Nelson (Gates), Catherine Paradeise (U. Marne-la-Vallée), Leonce Ndikumana (U. Massachussets), Ruben Ruerd (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands) and Michael Clemens (Center for Global Development, Washington).
On this occasion, about 900 academics and development practitioners from both the North and the South gathered to exchange views on these critical issues. The conference is aimed at promoting a constructive dialogue between academic research, operational expertise and policy making in order to explore lessons and perspectives for aid development policies. -
The 9th 2-day Scientific EUDN Conference will be held in Paris on March 27-28, 2012.
It is conceived as a restricted meeting where members of EUDN present their recent papers to each other (selected papers)
